Modern day network architecture is heavily reliant upon legacy IoT platforms, running through centralized public cloud. This system, however, is overshadowed with performance bottlenecks, security risks and cost inefficiencies.
With the future shift in the cloud paradigm (where over 70% of data to be processed at the edge by 2025), Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) enables mobile operators to effectively scale their distributed networks to support billions of devices proximity to IoT service endpoints, through a direct Peer-to-Peer interaction.
The vision of this TestNET is to showcase XENIRO’s SnapScale Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) via an automation platform, in bringing monetization capabilities to the network edge. SnapScale DLT is directly integrated onto MEC nodes, enabling value added services (smart contracts, identification, on-chain auditing and payment transfers..etc) allowing for decentralized service exchange between IoT devices. All service transactions are executed and automated, through operator’s highly distributed MEC nodes without the need for 3rd party intervention. This solution delivers value through trust, cost efficiency, and productivity for both enterprises and mobile operators.
This disruptive model is intended to fuel a new edge cloud ecosystem, providing genuine end-2-end automation.

Transaction Validation

SnapScale DLT is designed and optimized to operate via mobile operators' Multi-access Edge Computing infrastructure. Transactions and event logs can be recorded onto the distributed ledger and data can be accessed across multiple networks, geographies, upon authentication & authorization from the relevant parties.

This innovative architecture addresses the bottlenecks of modern day distributed ledgers that remain slow and unscalable. SnapScale aims to become the standard as the backbone in this new IoT ecosystem, performing transactions across billions of IoT devices.

XENIRO’s TestNET will demonstrate how operators joins a DLT-consortium, participate in network maintenance by processing transactions and validating data registry on the ledger. Each node is called “Block Producer” (BP) and is responsible for validating requested transactions.

Smart Contracts

A smart contract is a programmable code that can be executed on the ledger and store the state of contract execution as a part of the immutable history of that ledger instance. Smart contracts are self-executing digital contracts which help humans, devices, machines or organizations exchange anything of value in a conflict-free way and automate processes through a set of defined rules.

Developers can rely on SnapScale ledger as a trusted computation environment in which inputs and execution of smart contracts are independent and free of external influences.

XENIRO’s TestNET provides a set of smart contract templates that allow users to build their own decentralized applications (DApps), and facilitate task automation between devices across multiple networks.

Edge Deployment

Modern day DLT-based applications are hosted through remote public cloud servers, resulting in bottlenecks with respect to latency, bandwidth, availability and network costs. XENIRO is building the first platform of its kind to enable the deployment of DApps across Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) servers at the network edge, which provides lower latency, performance and quality of experience.

Developers can generate DApps with various development tools with ease. XENIRO’s TestNET enables operators to experiment with requests from developers to have their DApps deployed to edge location end points for enhanced customer experience.
